Worship in the URC, Salisbury
Our main act of worship is on Sundays at 10.30am
Holy Communion is usually celebrated on the fourth Sunday of the month. All ages are
normally together for the first part of the worship with the young people then going
into their own groups. Several times a year there are parade or all-age services
when members of our uniformed youth organisations join us.
At special festivals, e.g. Christmas & Easter, services are held at other times on
a Sunday and mid-week.
In our worship, we seek the will of God in the Scriptures that we believe still speak
to humankind today.
We recognise that each of us has spiritual needs and we believe that these needs can
find expression and fulfilment in worship.
In addition to our Sunday services, there is also a weekly prayer group and opportunities for Bible study and discussion.
In all these ways, we continually search for ways to equip one another to carry out God's will for each of us. We share a faith that is passed on and deepened by the experiences of life, by struggle and by pain as well as by joy and happiness; faith that is alive in the small and the very big questions of life.
